The B-52's put on a great show in Coney island this summer-that said. i don 't think I'd drop $50 to see 'em again.

Even if I really liked the B-52s, I wouldn't pay $50 to see them at Roseland. Will anyone actually buy these tickets?

love both bands, but the fact that it's at roseland just killed it for me.

so, nope.

No, nope, nada, no way, definitely not, not in a million years, no fucking way, not if someone had a gun to my head, not if they were the last bands on earth, not if hell freezes over, not if pigs could fly . . .

I love The Rapture. Saw them this year at Lolla and Coney, and last Halloween at the Bowery. Would not consider paying 50 beans to see them play though. Maybe for half as much though!

it would be the worst 50 dollars spend, ever.

When are Van Halen MSG tix going on sale?

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 12:30 PM

Definitely not dropping $50 for it. Love The Rapture, but cmon.

no

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 12:47 PM

I don't think so. B-52's play Asser Levy for free every summer.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 12:51 PM

What time does Van Halen go on?

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 12:52 PM

I wouldn't have paid $20 to see them in their prime, say in 1979! OK, maybe back then, but for cryin' out loud, they haven't released anything in like 15 years! Who's going to go? Lots of greying new-wavers with cash.

Posted by Frank | September 4, 2007 1:15 PM

hey frank. if you paid 20 bucks to see them in their prime you got ripped off. ticket prices back then were maybe . . . maybe . . . 10 bucks. unless you were shooting for the gold circle beehive seats. dork.

i would pay 50 dollars to see them perform rock lobster in the buff.
really

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:25 PM

hey jeff, you are a stale turd

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:26 PM

Hey Jeff, great observation you fucking loser.

Posted by anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:28 PM

Um, no.

But at least they weren't booked at the Arena at Madison Square Garden like every other touring 80s band these days.

Posted by nyctaper | September 4, 2007 1:32 PM

i bet jeff was really proud of himself.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:44 PM

yea he must have felt like such a not-dork after calling that guy a dork.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:50 PM

Why won't you dance with me?
I'm not no Limburger!

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:54 PM

It seems like an odd pairing of bands. How did they come together?

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:55 PM

So Arcade Fire stole your basketball? Big fucking deal, the B-52's bombed my village.

I wouldn't spend $50 to see The Talking Heads open for The Smiths at Roseland.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 3:46 PM

Well my internet inflation calulator says that $10 in 1978 would be $32 in 2006...so $20 would actually be reasonable and $50 not so outlandish. Of course, salaries haven't matched inflation so $50 still seems like $50, not $10. What are the mafia clubs trying to make Halloween into another New Yeasr Eve? Halloween is now a month long indulgence for pseduoadults. Its supposed to be for children.

Posted by chloe | September 4, 2007 7:27 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2007 1:51 AM

"Are the Rapture headling or opening?"

Are you fucking kidding? Or stupid?

Posted by Shameless McLovin' | September 5, 2007 8:22 AM

I love the B's but 50.00 is a bit much. 25.00 yes.

Posted by johnozed | September 5, 2007 9:11 AM

I would pay $50 for a double headliner bill of The Smiths and Talking Heads. But only if Falco opened.

Posted by Mackie | September 6, 2007 9:49 AM

let me be the first to dissent and say YES, i'm going. 50 bucks? its not that bad and it IS halloween
