Black Lips played Bowery Ballroom

Black Lips @ Bowery Ballroom, NYC - Sept 18, 2007 (CRED)
Black Lips @ Bowery Ballroom

I gotta say, if there's anything still subversive about white boys playing twangy R&B in 2007, it's that these four bros have the BEST time just being their skinny little degenerate selves. They are a band in that way that to picture them doing normal things just doesn't compute. They are Rock and Roll in the present tense. All the time. At least they were last night for 50 or so minutes. [the simple mission]
Black Lips play Sound Fix & Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight (Sept 19), and then other places.

Screw Bowery Ballroom, I was denied access last night because I was "drinking at another establisment beforehand", the manager was a complete asshole to me and made me wait an hour and a half before I could get my money bacl from my ticket. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS SEE THE F-ING BLACK LIPS!!! instead I had to wait outside in the cold. Fuck Bowery. Fuck em.
