I second anon 12:10. I FUCKING HATE TICKETMASTER. I had 2 tix dead center, ten rows from the stage this morning for PJ Harvey, and because I couldn’t fill out the order form in the 30 fucking seconds these nazis pricks give you to complete it, I get pushed out of my order and way back into the second Loge the next go round. I pass on buying tickets out of disgust. And why do they make you fill in some stupid fucking password you can barely read? God, I hate that company. The Beacon should have tickets on sale at their box office the same day tix go on sale. Total bullshit.

u actually have two minutes for the first page so i don't know what you're saying about 30 seconds...you probably had like 5 different windows open to try to get best possible tickets and forgot about the other ones....it's really not hard to use ticketmaster....unless you think 2 minutes is 30 seconds....maybe you can try take some typing lessons....that will definitely help you i bet

people always complaining on bv......

14th row center for PJ. Good enough. Floor's already sold out.

You should just create an account on Ticketmaster & log-in next time. It takes about 2 seconds to check out that way.

I couldn't find any good pairs of seats starting from the moment they went on sale... and the seats were getting progressively worse.... but then I realized that none of my friends wanted to go and/or didn't want to pay anyway! So I got a single seat in the 2nd row orchestra... which came out to be $70 after fees!!!!

Now I know why no one wanted to go! But whatever. I'll be going by myself. And sitting up close. But I'll be $70 in the hole. That seems steep for PJ. I hope this show's worth it! I missed her the last time she came around (plus I didn't care for that album).

man, you guys got lucky. i tried around 10:01 am and the best I got was a few rows back center front loge. when i forced it to orchestra, the best I got was the back of the orchestra along the side.

last i checked, floor was still available, but only obstructed views. ugh, i really wanted to be close for this show.

btw, anybody know if there's any opener?

"And why do they make you fill in some stupid fucking password you can barely read?"

To create a highly effective obstacle for scalpers trying to use scripts to get lots of tickets, dumbass. Without that feature, you'd be here bitching about how scalpers got all the good seats, no doubt.

Dear idiot to anoy (huh?) 1:03:
I didn't even mention the "convenience charges" we all know and hate. I can only assume you work for ticketmaster. Why would I want to set up an account with a company I despise? The only reason I would even give them my business is because I'm a PJ Harvey fan and have no other choice. Any company that has the audacity to charge a $10 fee on top of a ticket and call it a "convenience" charge is obviously ripe for abuse, and having an annoying website on top of that is insult upon injury. Not to mention they've been robbing the public blind for decades now with this shit (yes, I've been forced to order tickets via these pricks since you were a little tike). Having tickets onsale at a venue box office the day they go on sale is a reasonable request.
And yes, I can't type for shit!

anon, 3:30 - i'm so glad ticketmaster added that function to dissuade scalpers and continue to add on bullshit charges to our tickets themselves. now go unload your ticketmaster stock, employee.

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2007 4:03 PM

ticketmaster is not an available stock. nice.

I'm no Ticketmaster stockholder. I don't work for the company. And I'm certainly no Ticketmaster fan. But I don't see anything wrong with that password option if it dissuades scalping. It's not like that feature costs me more money. And I obviously don't see anything wrong with opening an account with them. I mean, we all hate Ticketmaster, but we all buy tickets from them too. So why not just store your info with them? It makes checking out faster. Again, that doesn't cost me more money.

I hate Ticketmaster, but I, like everyone else, have also been using them for years & years. Yes, it'd be great if the venue box office opened the day tickets go on sale. That's the one thing I hate about Ticketmaster's monopoly. (Well, the one thing that can & should be remedied easily.) But if I want good seats, I buy them when they go on sale, which means paying "convenience fees." It sucks, but I do it. So do most other people.

Bashing Ticketmaster is like, so lame & obvious, man. People have been doing it since you were all little tykes.

Now let me see how my shares are doing...
