Fionn Regan @ ACL

At ACL I decided that Irish Mercury-prize nominee Fionn Regan is not for me. He is gaining American fans though - at least that's what his opening spots for Lucinda Williams at Irving Plaza on September 29-30 AND Town Hall on October 2-4 AND a headlining gig on October 12th at the Gramercy Theatre would imply. Sonic Youth is going to guest at Lucinda's 'Essence' show at Irving Plaza on Sept. 30. Lucinda mentioned this herself during an interview on KCRW a few weeks ago. It will probably follow the format she used in LA, where people like John Doe from X, Greg Dulli, and Emmylou Harris played with her during her second sets.

I really like Fionn. The End of History is an excellent album in my opinion.

I saw Lucinda last nite and once she got it together she rocked! I heard she played at a small club Monday (?) nite, couldn't find any press about it, does anyone know where & details?
