i have never really thought of irving plaza as intimate, but i guess it's all relative!

Posted by anon | September 12, 2007 1:36 PM

Well, intimate for a band that normally plays arenas.

Anyone know the deal with getting tickets (besides torturing myself listening to KRock for announcements)?

Tix go on sale tomorrow (Wed) at noon through Ticketmaster. $45 a pop.

Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2007 1:42 PM

It went on sale at 12:08 p.m. and sold out in less than a minute.

So they went on sale late, and sold out in ridiculous time. Both I and a friend of mine tried to get tickets on separate computers. Sold out instantly. Bogus.

they released 25 tickets at 9:40. i was in line, but bailed figuring it wasn't worth blowing $50 on half a set (or less).

Anon 11:48 PM: sorry to say, yes it was. that was a great show -- 2 hours of foo at irving with them play a mix of very new to very old. i expected the crowd to go a little more crazy, esp in the would-be pit area, but didnt really care that they weren't. the crowd was also a mix of 30-40 something to fresh NYU kids who were using fake IDs to buy some beer. good ol' fashion fun. Foos rocked it. we'll all get a chance to see them again when they go on tour.
