Jay-Z Rocawear Arena
Jay-Z & Kanye West @ GQ party, NYC - Sept 18, 2007
For whatever reason I find this really interesting: Jay-Z wants to rename New Jersey's Continental Arena after his Rocawear clothing company. The arena is currently home to the New Jersey Nets basketball team and the New Jersey Devils hockey team. What's odd is that Jay-Z is part of the ownership group that will take the Nets to Brooklyn soon (probably in time for the 2009-2010 season). Why would a part-owner of a Brooklyn-headed NBA team want his name on an arena in Jersey? Beats me. That horrible arena should be bulldozed ASAP, by the way. [Coolfer]

Note to Hova: Do you see what's going on with MSG/TheKnicks/IsiahThomas trial? Owning a sports team/arena/whatever - not a good idea.

Jay Z and Kanye are Daft Punk. Thats why they wear the full robot suits during their whole show, so you cant tell.

The Continental BLOWS for concerts... saw Pearl Jam and Chili Peppers there, the sound is horrendous.

whats odd, is that he sold rocawear. why keep the name unless he's getting points on the rocawear clothing line.
and i hope that "are [they] doing the daft punk symbol" is just some "billyburg hipster oblivious to pop culture irony".
fore that's the rocafella diamond bitches. (although i do think diamond dallas tried to sue him for that..america, what a country!)
