Justice sells out Terminal 5, adds 2nd show - Tour Dates
I guess not having the show at Webster Hall was a good idea afterall. Justice have added a 2nd show (Oct 22 - not CMJ) at Terminal 5 (the new 3000-capacity venue opening in NYC in early October). I just hope the duo plays more than an hour-long DJ set, which is essentialy what they did when I saw them at the Oya Festival in Norway. They were good - I danced for most of their set, but I have trouble thinking of it as a proper concert (where people pay $25 to watch it, stand around beforehand, dance for an hour, and then leave when it's over). I know Daft Punk do it, but I think Justice is better suited to be the feature act at a regular club night - maybe that's not where their fans want to go though. Maybe Justice are too big. Maybe that's not where the money's at. Or maybe they're adding something more to their future live shows that I don't know about.
Tickets go on sale Friday for the October 22nd show. All tour dates below...

Why bother seeing/following Justice after seeing Daft Punk? I mean, their album sounds like Daft Punk most of the time.

why bother seeing people practically playing a cd live?
Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2007 2:52 PM
.... because it might be a good time.

They are playing a post-VMA party in Vegas on Sunday night as well.

Why bother asking stupid rhetorical questions on a blog?

it just bothers me how all those amps and all the gear set up on stage is totally fake

ok...
2:34 - music is not mutually exclusive. you can still enjoy a good show even if someone else is as good or better. But man, it's true, Daft Punk are geniuses. In hind site, Discovery was way ahead of it's time. when it came out, people were like huh? then Ed Banger dudes came along and popularized the sound and everyone was like oh snap!
and...
8:40 - In france they don't care if things are fake as long as they look (or sound, for that matter) cool.

if you really want to see them, go down to philly that sunday night and see them at starlight ballroom instead of terminal 5 on monday. much more intimate venue.
plus, its only $12 instead of $25. Chinatown bus to philly is only $20 roundtrip....make a day of it

WATCHING an electronica band live is kind of paradoxical, isn't it? Yes, you're just watching two fools turning knobs and tweaking filters without barely moving at all. It's not like you're at a Pink Floyd concert. But the point is that it's electronica, and you're kind of recreating the club atmosphere by going out. I say, as long as the tickets are under $ 25 (such as for JUSTICE at Terminal 5 on october 22nd) it's worth it. Rocking to Justice with 3000 other freaks can only spell out one thing: an awfully good time.
