METRIC played Webster Hall + new EMILY HAINES video
Metric @ Webster Hall, NYC - Sept 21, 2007 (CRED)

When Emily Haines wasn't talking about giving up the music life to do cooking shows, she was leading her ferocious dance-rock band Metric in a blazing performance at Webster Hall. [Sonic Parthenon]Check out Emily Haine's really cool-looking new (I think) video for Our Hell below...

Great show. Crystal Castles were lame. Check out this great up and coming NYC band The Postelles. myspace.com/thepostelles

crystal castles were not lame at all. metric were actually kind of lame and there was basically no energy in the room at all... sort of like most new york shows now a days.

show was fantastic. it was great to hear new metric. i was a bit disappointed though that 'rock me now' was the only old song they played, esp since they re-released "grow up and blow away" this year.
but either way, so good! everyone around me was jumping and dancing.

I'm glad I'll be the first to say it: that video creeped me the fuck out. I like it though.

I only went for Crystal Castles and they were brilliant.
Metric was shit, I had to leave.
Someone suggested Postelles above. Ha, that's the worst music possible.
