St Vincent - updated 2007 Tour Dates (CMJ)

St VincentTickets are on sale for St Vincent's CMJ show at Knitting Factory in NYC on October 18th. The whole bill seems pretty sweet - you've also got His Name Is Alive, Bowerbirds, Papercuts, Le Loup, and Speck Mountain.

It's not clear who is opening both of the National's Music Hall of Williamsburg shows, but St Vincent is definitely the opener at Terminal 5 - exactly one week before the Knitting Factory show. All tour dates below...

any idea on who or what his name is alive is these days? still just warn and loretta doin R&B? CAUSE I LOVE THAT SHIT!!! Man it's such a shame that st. vincent will probably get top billing for this when His Name is Alive has been around and around putting out music for tons of years with a true history!!!

are the national even playing CMJ? i haven't seen any shows listed for them. it shows how much a joke CMJ is when one of the leading "indie" bands of the past two years doesn't play the festival in the same year their new album comes out.

cmj is awful. seems like past few years tons of amazing shows happen in nyc the couple weeks before and/or after CMJ but not during..

why do people even travel to nyc for the festival anymore?

You have CMJ confused with Coachella. CMJ is mainly for emerging artists. It is not a festival. It is a music industry showcase that includes much more than just live shows.

last time i checked, meat puppets, del the funky, bouncing souls, ida, etc are not emerging artists.
