"Sufjan Stevens reveals the epic in the everyday in songs infusing the vernacular of Midwestern folk with a distinctly orchestral grandeur."

uggh, makes me want to gag!

these comments definitely need to be inputed into the backlash calculator...

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 1:41 PM

the number of tickets sold should definitely be inputed into the still popular calculator

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 2:23 PM

can we put my tickets in a 'how much can i get for these on craigslist' calculator?

This guy blows. Heard the Illinois album when it came out, hated it, gave it another listen or two because all I heard was how this guy was "so rad" and that duuuuuuuude he's doing an album of all 50 states (hipster band with a gimmick-- go figure!!)-- still hated it. forgot about it, found it months later, listened to it again, thought my taste might have evolved... nope, the record still blows.

But he looks so CUTE in that boyscout get up! Bend over Mr Stevens and I'll show you the true meaning of Christian brotherly love.

All you people are douchebags.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 3:35 PM

he's still great.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2007 3:48 PM

BV, are all these angry comments from the same IP address? $5 says they are.

I wonder if fourth-row mezzanine will be close enough for him to hear me ask him to marry me.

Posted by The NB | September 4, 2007 5:38 PM

Posted by Katie | September 4, 2007 10:43 PM

Got first row Mezz section. Can't wait to drop water balloons on you.

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2007 8:13 AM

wow, I didn't realize sufjan was so polarizing...

Posted by pal | September 6, 2007 11:42 AM

It is polarizing, people hate depth, beauty and god forbid your own country's religion. There are a lot of shitty bands/musicians out there but do they inspire this kind of hatred? wonder if they were muslim. Maybe people would post cruel things in say the midwest...do you people that posted such nasty comments realize what tools you are?

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2007 7:50 PM

tools of hate I mean
