...happens in Washington DC September 17-18. Bob Mould, Mac McCaughan, Lady Miss Kier, Portia Sabin (Kill Rock Stars), Charles Bissell, Josh Madell (co-owner of Other Music), Jonathan Eaton & Nick Krill (The Spinto Band) and Franz Nicolay (Hold Steady) are among those speaking.

This summit every year amounts to a whole lot of nothing as can be evidenced by the people above listed as speakers. Not really the cream of the crop in influential music people. Although I do love Bob Mould.

I don't know, Mac is pretty influential. Plus he started on of the better, more well-known indie labels.
