YO LA TENGO @ Austin City Limits - pics & their latest 2007 Tour Dates

A healthy-sized crowd - me included - showed up early (12:30 pm) to see Yo La Tengo play on the final day (Sunday Sept. 16, 2007) of this year's Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, TX. We were rewarded by a sweet set of songs, sunny weather, and lots of wailing on the guitar by rock god Ira Kaplan....

Sorry but have to disagree. I used to love YLT but as the years have gone by, I just find them irritating live. First the pseudo-ambient phase, now just noise. Saw them at both Lolla and ACL. Worse at ACL because after I left their irritating noise (and, hey, I love SY) kept bleeding into the other act I was trying to listen to. Give me back the Speeding Motorcycle days...
