WHO GIVES A SHIT

way to go al gore. grow back that beard you had a number of years ago, it looked cool.

When the National played 5 nights at Bowery, that was honestly the peak for me...Terminal 5 is a symbol for the expanding popularity of indie rock...Why do you think bands love playing at the Bowery Ballroom? the crowd is more intimate and for a band like the National, it is exactly what you need. For anyone who saw the National for the first time last night, I suggest you see them in a tighter knit venue with better acoustics. Berringer just wasn't that into it last night, he was just going through the motions.

This sounds better on record, these guys seemed really tired to me and I honestly like them a lot

I agree he should grow back his beard. Paul McCartney should also grow back his beard, who agrees with me on this one?

Otherwise, green=peace.

I hear Penelope Cruz is a good beard...

I think it is really silly that Al Gore won the prize. The Nobel committee is so politicized these days. they give them out to anyone who supports their political causes regardless of any actual accomplishment. Heck, they even gave a prize to Yasir Arafat.

And yes, the National are a good band. they've been on tour for sometime. I'm not surprised they are tired. And yes, the new Radiohead album is effin awesome by the 3rd listen. well done. I really dig the R&B and jazz percussion on some songs.

a friend of mine went to one of al gore's book signings a few months ago and had him sign her copy of hail to the theif...not really sure why, but it was neat when he said he really liked radiohead himself...and that album in particular...i wonder why...anyway isn't it funny to imagine al gore liking things

(does that relate it back to music? i tried.)

"i hate seeing people on music blogs people who hate seeing posts like this on music blogs. god forbid we take an interest in other issues."

This comment would be relevant if the only website visited was BV. Fortunately, I got my Al Gore fix on about 30 other websites today. Would be nice if I could go onto a music site and not have to see him there too.

Here's an idea: just move on to the next story...it's really not that difficult & rather painless..

"OMG, an off-topic comment as your way of expressing disinterest in the post! Go hipster humor go!"

I'm thinking the person just put a comment under the wrong post, seeing as the thing about the National show is right above. Seems like an honest mistake, not hipster humor.

I think losing that election sent him into a brief period of insanity. He's such a sensitive, whiny biatch. Osama would have kicked his arse if he were prez.

Remember when the BV comments section actually had intelligent comments? Now, 75% of what's posted reads like it's pouring from the mouth of a drunk 15-year-old in Ohio whose dream is to live on Bedford Ave.

He should go back to where he came from.
