just because we dont work 9 to 5 like the masses, doesnt mean that we are unemployed trust fund hipsters. that's a lame sweeping generalization.

Could someone disguise themselves as me so I can actually attend CMJ instead of sitting in a cubicle? I'm only here for this year then I'm being shipped home.....
On another note, anyone going to No Age at 6? Going to race up there from work.

hey from pianos - The Meat Puppets just ended - we're running a little behind schedule, so if you get here now, you can still see Celebration on the main stage, and then Bon Iver (who is also now playing on the main stage). All free. PLUS, due to a scheduling mixup by me, both black ghosts and Annie Mac are currently DJing in the front room.
thanks!

only had time to catch the meat puppets, but they were, of course, awesome. not as great as they were in knitting factory -- the imporvised stuff seemed a bit off, and the bass was almost inaudible (shame, since c kirkwood is such a great bassist). but still -- they were awesome.
thanks bv!
p.s. saw thurston moore earlier at the apple store. played for about 80 minutes w/ the full band. i saw him at maxwell's a few weeks back, but only today did i realize that the great chris brokaw is his guitar player! anyway, the show was stellar. he is the master. and the apple people set up this really sweet little performance mini-theater in their store! real nice.

I posted a couple of phone shots from wednesday & listed the schedule for your fri-sat line-up all linking to myspace pages for the performers on my blog - a couple of the acts are tough to find online, so if I've mis-linked please let me know.
So - if you'd like to sample the wares of the shows in the next part of the 'return to the lower east side,' i've listed & linked to the blog at the bottom of this comment.
I'd be happy to send you (b-vegan) the HTML for the link/line-up if you'd like to keep people at this URL. I just wanted to be able to find the bands to buy music after the shows.
cheers - thanks for arranging this. I had a blast seeing Meat Puppets again.
