The Crown Point Festival runs from October 27th - November 17th in NYC.

The Crown Point Festival is a three week festival of the best emerging and pioneering artists in film, theater and music from around the world in the Lower East Side of New York City. Crown Points is organized with the belief that the current state of downtown culture offers tremendous opportunities to those willing to make a commitment to excellence. Every performance is tailor-made to transport the audience on a unique unforgettable experience.

Where is this Arbons Art Center? I don't think I've ever heard of this place, though the band list for this is pretty amazing.

Abron's Art Center is at 466 Grand Street @ Pitt in the LES. It's a beautiful turn of the century 350 seat opera house.

Anybody know if Yeasayer will actually go on at 8? If they go on too much later I can't make it. Boris awaits.

APTBS is not a new band people! they've been playing shows all over NYC for at least 4 years now.
If you want more, check out Ollie's first band Skywave, if you like APTBS, then you're sure to love them too.

lots of yeasayer stuff here:

and no, please don't put 'em in any sentence with dan deacon.

I finally figured out how these Crown Point Festival shows work. The Yeasayer show isn't just them playing at 8 - it's a play, two movies (maybe short films?) and them. So they could very well be going on last, and I have no idea what time that would be or if you can just show up for them considering how the show is set up.

We're sorry for any confusion. What we're trying to do is create a very creative art-fusion show of all 3 - film, theater and music. You can show up at any point in the night and buy a ticket - we hope you come for all of the night not just the band - but we can't force you. Tickets are 16.50 and the $18 VIP ticket includes as much free Stella as you'd like.
