Islands played Highline, playing today too
Islands @ Highline Ballroom, NYC - Oct 18, 2007 (CRED)
Catch Islands again in NYC TODAY (Oct 19) (and tomorrow).
Actually, Islands going on right after Yo Majesty today, and Yo Majesty also played with them at Highline last night.
Thunderheist played last night too (and Trail of Dead & Enon)

Completely unrelated but...
Anybody know what happened with that accident at Grand and Metropolitan on Thurs night? Looked like a car jumped a curb in front of Dunkins. Someone's body was in the street.

They played Whitney/Bobby, Volcanoes, Humans, Whalebone (with Subtitle, Despot, and Jamie playing the drums), and Swans

aren't you people forgetting about The Octopus Project? They definitely were the highlight of the night for me.

Trail of Dead played a short, but supercharged set. "Will You Smile Again for Me?" was freaking awesome. Octopus Project was great as always. Enon seemed to have some sound issues. I wanted to see more of Islands (only caught a few songs) but it was just getting too late...

Octopus Project blew me away too - Islands was pretty much as expected, and I had to head out after the first five or six songs. New stuff sounds pretty good, but I think we'll need to wait for the album to see.

Was it just me or did the British Sea Power really not want to be performing last night at the Bowery Ballroom AT ALL?
Yan looked especially perturbed by the awful crowd.
Can't say I blame him for wanting to get the hell out of there sans encore. It was miserably uncomfortable, and I had really wanted to enjoy their show.
