Paul Raven

Paul Vincent Raven (January 16, 1961 – October 20, 2007) was a rock bassist best known for his work in the seminal post-punk/industrial group Killing Joke. He later played in alternative rock/industrial rock band Prong.......Raven also participated in Pigface........Raven worked as bassist in Godflesh......Raven began working with Al Jourgensen of Ministry for their latest album, Rio Grande Blood. In 2006, Raven completed a European and American tour with Ministry. Raven died of an apparent heart attack in his sleep on October 20, 2007 [Wikipedia]

Sad news. Raven made so many strong contributions to the industrial music scene. He will be missed.

Man, this is such a bummer. This guy really got around and was a part of so many incredible projects. He was working on a record with Ted Parsons (Jesu, Swans, Prong) when he died. What a loss

yeah, they always say that when its drugs...at least thats what happened to a musician friend of mine who died of a heroin overdose...heart failure.

Paul Raven was a badass bassist in a great band.
While it seems from pics he was doing drugs, maybe off the wagon cuz in 2003 he looked fit. Too many dudes die from heart attacks in their 40s. it does happen. Get regular checkups.

Paul was my mum's best friend. we have pics of him everywhere. he was a great person and used to carry me on my shoulders when i was a baby...

im so gald to have met his son Vincent... he's the best person in the world! :)
