R Bar
As previously announced, the free BrooklynVegan party this Friday (Oct 19) is at R Bar – a swanky new (sort of) bar/venue on the Lower East Side – right on Bowery between Prince and Spring – a short walk from…pretty much anywhere else on the Lower East Side. The show is 18+ to get in, will have an open Svedka/Red Bull/Bloody Mary bar (while supplies last) for those over 21, and features ten bands – including Black Kids.
Tonight’s (Oct 18) show at R Bar looks good too. First of all, it’s hosted by MATT PINFIELD. Also, you’ve got Little Birdy, The Forms, Born in the Flood, Benzos, Takka Takka, and The Epochs – a band, who despite the confusion of one commenter, are playing there tonight (not tomorrow). They’re also a band who are playing/played six shows during CMJ.
