I'm very excited. Richard Hawley is finally coming back to the United States (hopefully). I love his new album. Tickets go on sale today at noon for a December 1st show at Bowery Ballroom. A few other shows are also on sale at Ticketweb.

I would bet he tours with at least a 5 piece band, thats what he did at SXSW last year, sounded amazing. Can't wait. awesome news! now we can only hope he gets his visa in time.

when i saw him play at sin-e in march 2006, he had four or five backing members. despite the venue, the sound was huge, and it was a wonderful show. he was extremely candid between songs, and played along the top of the bar. the bowery show will be great.

I know that yeah people who write music blogs obviously like music and are going to be out enjoying CMJ but really, Brooklyn Vegan I'm saddened by the lack of CMJ coverage :( I am leaving this comment here because alas where else would I leave it?
