Ya, I was there and it sucked. Not just his performance, but the fact that they stuck him in the middle of Dan Deacon and Girl Talk. Way to bring down the energy. Girl Talk seemed just as confused as everyone else as to who/why this guy was performing with them, but I guess he just agreed to have him along. And Tay Zonday had never even been to a first ave show before!

Sad to hear people thought it sucked; all the videos I've seen made it look AMAZING.

Hannah, actually Greg Gillis (aka: Girl Talk) himself requested Tay open the show...

TSITR was the only reason to go to this show.
also, man, Dan Deacon needs to rethink his live show unless he wants a bunch of hipster kids to be all squished and pissy during his entire set.

I booed as loud as I could... I hope he heard me. What a joke. Why did I pay money to be put through this garbage? Irony is worse than cancer...and if he is serious I am not am ashamed to be from the same state.

Irony is worse than cancer? Okay, well first of all, you're attending a GIRL TALK and DAN DEACON show, a clusterfuck of "irony" in the essential form of lame hipster tendency. hahahah

I don't get it. Why was this a big phenomenon?

Yeah i don't get it either. I guess its turds like this that you have to put up with in this day and age. This is the kind of music serial killers put on when doing their business. Funny though how next to this guy Dan Deacon looks like fucking Mozart.

i wasnt impressed AT ALL with Girl Talk. he does makes great mash up songs on his laptop but what is so impressive about that? He's just a DJ with no turntable's ? Call me old school but that is lame. It baffles me that people pay fifteen dollars to go to his show, just to be surrounded by dancing sweaty college kids. I was semi impressed with Dan Deacon and the Show is the Rainbow because they actually sang and they were great performers.
I think Tay Zonday was more entertaining then girl talk because he at least wrote his own music and sang his songs.
