the Dance Music Invasion is here
This weekend is officially "The Dance Music Invasion" so coined by Larry Tee and co...
I know a lot of hard work went into the "Invasion" but it doesn't seem to be much more than a listing of regularly occurring dance parties. Arthur Baker is worth checking out on Saturday night at Studio B. It's just the first year though - much more time to grow this thing.
The Village Voice talked to Larry.
More upcoming events worth dancing at in NYC, below....
Friday - 10/5
Juan Atkins (Dude created Techno) at 200 Orchard
Saturday - 10/6
After you freak out at LCD Soundsystem...
Trouble & Bass at Rose Lounge (85 Grand, Wburg)
Wednesday - 10/10
Tales of Colt 45 Party at Studio B with LA Riots (NYC Debut), Purple Crush, Health, The Mall, and Yip Yip FREE

Isn't Larry Tee the same guy who coined "electroclash?" Is that all this guy is good for?

Larry Tee also co-wrote RuPaul's 'Supermodel'; that's gotta count for something, hm?

Disco sucks. And so does the narcissistic "indie" rock it has spawned. Garbage.
