the Shins improved their live show @ Vegoose

well, it looked cooler at least....

After some interesting high jinks with the most over priced shuttle service I have ever experienced I arrived in the desert just in time to see The Shins. The Sin City concert is set in the beautiful desert abutting some beautiful mountains and the night weather was wonderful. The Shins put on a good show, I love their records but its difficult to get excited about the Shins in a large scale setting. I just don't find their music translates well to upping the decimal levels. [Analog Giant]

The Shins played the Halloween-themed music festival in Las Vegas on Saturday October 27th.

LOL
What Floyd song did they cover?
Posted by it's 'decibel' | October 29, 2007 9:58 AM
Pink Floyd's "Breathe".
By no means revolutionary but solid. I watched part of their set (did see the Breathe) and thought their set was pretty good.

Err maybe you had to be there, but what are they dressed up as???
Posted by Flubby | October 29, 2007 11:23 PM
i was there and still have no idea what they were.
they weren't speaking english in between songs either. actually, it wasn't even speaking. they were screaching..
any ideas?

^ Yup - I watched the webcast and had no idea, I thought it might've been more apparent in person...
The screaching was pretty funny. The drummer had a hell of a stare when he wasn't playing too.
If anyone finds out what they were dressed up as please post, I'd like to know:-)

I was at this show, and I'm still wondering what they were supposed to be. Also, did Kevin Spacey start fronting the band? They were great, and if you're into live recordings you can get a copy of the show here:
