So what is the deal with the $61 GA seats? is this SRO in the back, like in a broadway theater?
Posted by cocaine eyes | October 23, 2007 12:57 PM
haven't been to the venue but I think it's all seats, no standing
I got the 86 buck seats for the thursday show and they are in the second of three balconies (upper loge)
so I would guess the 60 buck seats are in the third upper balcony

oh I read over the "GA" in your post
never mind
I don't know what the deal is with those

The $60 GA tickets are not for seats. The last time I was in this venue, basically the GA people waited in the hallway until about 15 minutes before stage time. Then they were herded into the venue, and they basically line up against the wall (no standing in the middle aisles. To pay $60 to just stand in a crowd in a corner, wherever you can fit, is pretty ridiculous.
You can also buy the $86 ticket and sit up in the 3rd balcony, which I believe is technically inside of the state lines of New Jersey.
I would really like to go to this show, having first seen Neil in 1978, but really, to pay (with fees) somewhere in the range of $420 for a pair of decent seats--sorry I just can't do it.

by the way, nyctaper...
your recording of the 10/1 animal collective show is fucking amazing! unreal! in my opinion, it far surpasses the quality of the NPR recording.
fine, fine work
thanks for the site!
and thanks to BV too...consistently awesome site.
you guys should merge! it would be the blog to end all blogs!

Just curious...who are the "they" that keep saying it's the final show? The only place I saw it listed as the final show was at this site.

As of right now, 7:30pm 10/23/07, there are still single tickets left for the 12/18 show in the orchestra, at the $186 and $106 levels. Pairs of tickets (together that is) are denied. These prices are high I guess, but other bands (Van Halen, The Police) are charging just as much and more for big arena and stadium shows.
