Yeah, I missed this too....

Violent Femmes' "Kiss Off" @ Randall's Island - 10.6.07

About 5 minutes after they left stage. There was a mad rush and I happened to get pushed right up into is face next to a girl who couldn't quit talking about not having a camera. It was on the left side of the stage, on the pavement... supposedly they do this all the time... for my first Arcade Fire show... i'm pleased. [Melissa]

We were about 15 feet away wondering why everyone was pushing to so hard to get to the vending area (it was closed). Then this madness ensued. Pretty damn cool way to end the night.

We left so we wouldn't have to fight 25,000 for the buses....but really 2 encores? I missed that much!?

They played an old church in London and did "backseat" plus some others on the steps outside for those who hadn't been able to get in the gig.
From where I'm sat (UK) there seems to be some great stuff coming out of Canada right now. Check out Of Montreal latest album-crazed but great.

Just FYI, John Willimas... Of Montreal are from Georgia.

hahahahahaha
classic.

the show was great. i don't know why i didn't expect it to be as beautiful and well done as it was. great sets, visuals, antics, energy and crowd. the sunset was beautiful, everyone was peaceful and glowing. if they made it into a movie i would pick it up. i was one of the absolute last people to leave randall's island but I was completely oblivious to the second encore. typical. i could hear the after party (i'm assuming) going on though and they were spinning some good hits.
