Just got back from "Control" at the Film Forum..give it a B+

Anon @ 9:44, I was at the 7:15 of Control. B+ is about right. It was very well done and felt truly authentic... although I felt there was a lot of inappropriate laughter at times.

The National at the Music Hall was officially my favorite show of the year.

For a few pics and the 19-song set list:

Seriously, what great night.

Oh, look! The guy from !!! is doing his *one* move that he does onstage for *every* show!

I love the band, but it's almost comical watching him resort to his "go-to move" 50 times a show.

The National show last night was also my favorite show of the year, without a doubt. Perhaps one of the best show I've ever been to.

The vents that shoot out onto the Music Hall's viewing stage on the side are SO cold and annoying! If not for those vents, I'd be seconding the awesomeness of last night's experience. it was good, though. next time I'll remember to be on the floor.

I'm sure he agrees. I doubt he was looking to impress when he started that little shimmy. He's hot, he can do whatever he wants.
