"Despite the fact that some vegans around here are totally fine with Taco Bell, Ted Leo is not: 'I have no desire to be attached to the Pepsi corporation, which also runs KFC, etc.'"

Is that an old quote? Unless I missed something, Pepsi hasn't owned KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut since they spun them off as their own company (with the stock symbol YUM) several years ago.

Speaking of farm animals, a chicken pecked at my finger today.

That "Britney Spears suing Perez Hilton" link goes to a blank page.

The quote is new, but Ted Leo might be basing his righteousness on old facts. Either way, it's hard to imagine YUM being significantly less evil than PepsiCo.

MC Hammer is not dead... just his career.

"[I]t's hard to imagine YUM being significantly less evil than PepsiCo."

Why? What "evil" does the Yum!-less PepsiCo do now that's as bad as the (alleged) treatment of the chickens KFC buys? I know, soft drinks contribute to the increase in the number of overweight people in this country, but that's not as "evil" as the cruelty that PETA alleges the chickens are subjected to.

For the curious: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=YUM

How could someone care so much about their diet yet care so little about learning to just cook their own meals instead of relying or debating the ok-ness of some place like T-bell?

Idiots.

Did anyone go see MC Hammer? Funny or sad?

"How could someone care so much about their diet yet care so little about" yadda yadda yadda

Is that directed at me? If so, fuck you. I never claimed to care about my diet; in fact, I don't.

My comments were not directed at you yummy boy so chill out.

It was towards vegans/veggies in general who debate and/or justify whether or not this low grade shit food is on par with their half assed eating choices. And I say half assed because if you want to go so far as being vegan yet still consider fast food a necessary component of you eating habits then you missed the entire point of your decision.

If you want to be healthy, and not promote cruelty to animals, then just don't support any establishment that serves dead animals/dairy in any way shape or form. Otherwise, IMO you are just a big hypocrite. Learn to cook, buy some pots and fire up that stove.
