No Age's Myspace site says they are playing the PostCrypt at Columbia tonight, not Lerner. Anyone know for sure which is correct? (obviously I can hack the 5-minute walk from one to the other if there is confusion)

I also posted this question in the No Age topic

It makes me very sad to say this, but the Dirtbombs just aren't very good anymore. Their set at Maxwell's on Saturday was kind of terrible, and I've never seen them clear a room quite like that before.

I missed the Dirtbombs are Mercury Lounge since their slot was at midnight, which could have realistically been past 1am. Maybe I didn't miss much.

I still can't figure out why you mention Land of Talk but not Small Sins. They're new album is great - that's why I'm going. Muggabears too. Don't blow off the openers!

speaking of Charles Bissell, is he good live? Is it a mix of Wrens songs and his own stuff that he plays? Also, I miss the Wrens.

Thanks for the heads up on Down, completely forgot about that show. Now I just have to figure out how to get in.

At last year's Gothamist/CMJ thing, Bissell played a couple Wrens songs ("Won't Get Too Far"!) and an Okkervil River cover. Lot of low-key noodling/looping.

Dirtbombs rock, but they were a little too sloppy at the Merc. They're still worth it just to watch Ko Melina. She's a total rock star.
