BLONDE REDHEAD add NYC show, THE WORD, win tix to POLYPHONIC SPREE & AGAINST ME!, Tour Dates
Blonde Redhead are playing Terminal 5 in NYC on January 19th. $25 tickets go on sale Friday. .
The Blonde Redhead show is at the same new venue that Gogol Bordello recently played, and that Polyphonic Spree and Rooney are playing on Friday (Nov 16), and that Against Me!, Sage Francis and World Inferno Friendship Society are playing Saturday.
The Word ("featuring John Medeski, Robert Randolph and North Mississippi Allstars) are playing Terminal 5 too, but that's not until December 27th (part of a short year-end tour). Tickets are on sale now.

blonde redhead is awesome. but why terminal 5? what a disaster. that shows gonna be shite, and i love blonde redhead. stupid move. stupid stupid move. they should be playing a beautiful space like united palace or radio city, not some crappy vacuous cave like former club space with terrible acoustics. majorly disappointing.

Not sure BR is quite ready for a venue as big as Radio City. I havent been to t5 yet, and if I don't make it to any show before, will probably go to this just to see what all the venue-fuss is about (and because I like BR just that much, seen them 3 times this year)

fisher, Blonde Redhead has played Radio City, in 2005, opening for Interpol. They were great.

Right, opening for Interpol...Do you really think they have the fanbase to carry their own show at RCMH? Believe me I'd love to see them there, just not so sure they can fill ~6000 seats.
