I love EG. Saw them a few times at SXSW and once in NY. They put on an amazing show!

Electric Six at Bowery Ballroom was weird. Kind of unimpressive, but that had as much to do with the fratty crowd as the band. Willowz were fun though. Strangely like the children of Anthony Kiedis and Taylor Hanson.

I have to second you on the E6 show at Bowery. It was pretty underwhelming. The crowd was the worst I've ever been around at that venue.

I'd love to see em for free, since the last two records blew.

how exactly does Electric 6 play so many NYC gigs? They seem to play every 2 weeks. Do they have any fans? Do the fans enjoy the band's 'tasty licks' in an ironic way or sincerely? Is it the same guys going to every show, or do people think, "hmmmm, maybe I'll go see that Electric 6 band, they had that nice song about the Taco Bell 4 years ago." Do these shows make money? I've seen them a couple times and they were very poor, even when that Taco Bell song was brand new, but they seem to play out more than any other NYC band. Are they the new They Might Be Giants or the old Hold Steady?

"tasty licks"

Wow. Lame of you, eh?

They are underwhelming live. But still, free.
