Ryan Dombal visited the Apollo Theate in Harlem last night (Nov 13, 2007) and came back with these great photos of the Jay-Z show. Other on-stage guests included Memphis Bleek and Freeway. Puff Daddy (the guy in the ugly coat) also showed up at the Hammerstein Ballroom show two nights earlier. LeBron James's day job is basketball player (but it's not the first time he and Jay-Z have hung out). American Gangster is out now, but you won't find it on iTunes.

this show sounds quite incredible, but LeBron James...? what did he do? and why?

Pretty nice setup for a rap concert last night. They had a half court set up on stage. Jay-Z (and friends) ripped through all the hits. All the while LeBron just keep doing slam dunks in the background. Dude must have done 178 slam dunks the entire night. It was nonstop during the entire performance.

i cant possibly believe the above comment about lebron to be true as that would just be too awesome -- did he really dunk the whole time?

Unfortunately Win Butler came on stage midway through the show and stole LeBrons basketball

I wonder if Lebron was wearing his 15 dollar Steve and Barry Starbury sneakers

Man, that Ryan Dombal takes fine pics - I met and spoke to him at The Pipettes show on Monday night, and his shots from that are sweet as well.
