Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week

DOWNLOAD: Six Organs of Admittance - Jade Like Wine (MP3)

Six Organs of AdmittanceA short holiday week in the US means a short CD release list. The only new album I have heard that I can wholly recommend is Shelter from the Ash by Six Organs of Admittance. I will also definitely pick up the covers album by Bonnie Prince Billy, Ask Forgiveness, today.

Help me spend some of my birthday gift certificates, what can you recommend from this week's list? Have I left anything noteworthy off the list below?

Reissue, repackage, repackage...

From the Amazon page for the Donald Fagen solo box set:

"What Is MVI? With a higher storage capacity than a standard CD, the Music Video Interactive Disc (MVI) contains new interactive features including, superior sound quality, a wide range of video features, and interactive digital content. MVI discs play in all standard DVD players, computers, and game consoles with DVD drives but do not play in conventional CD players. Digital music files are compatible with all MP3 devices."

Can anyone cut through the PR crap for me? At least the box set includes 4 regular CDs.
