Man found dead in Knitting Factory bathroom
"A man was found dead yesterday in a bathroom of the Knitting Factory club. The 28-year-old Manhattan man, the victim of an apparent drug overdose, was found unconscious at 2:41 a.m. in a men's-room stall at the club on Leonard Street near Church Street. He was rushed to New York Downtown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His ID was withheld pending family notification. [NY Post]I think the "yesterday" they're referring to was Sunday which was actually Saturday night (Nov 10, 2007). Artists that played that night include Brand Nubian, Kurious, The Wowz, Loch Lomond, and there was the "2nd Annual Nobody Ball".
(unknown man, RIP)
Peelander-Z played that night too, but theirs was an early show.....

let the "shocking" and poor-taste comments begin.
By the way, I heard that all venues in New York City are going to be 21+ to enter by law. No more concerts for the kids.

OK, I got one: Listen River Phoenix - you're supposed to die *outside* the club!

Hope they have good luck pretending that law will pass.

So... Peelander-Z killed him? Or was it too much S-T-E-A-K?

I would say Peelander-Z might be suspects. What with their Keiju Big Battel conncetion (known for their "Someone Must Die" matches).

@yobaby: I mistakenly thought the business, not the building was for sale. My bad.

does anyone have any articals or web sites to cite the 21+ law
Posted by Anonymous | November 13, 2007 10:38 AM
yes, but you have to be 21+ to view them.

The NY Nightlife Association has recommended that clubs voluntarily become 21+, see Best Practices for Nightlife Establishments, Oct 2007 - The booklet is available on nyc.gov/nypd
