Superfuzz

It's Mudhoney time in NYC - the first of three shows kicks off tonight (Nov 30) at Maxwell's in Hoboken, and though Mudhoney didn't appear on the show (Meat Pupppets do), I thought this would be a good place to give away one of those new Nirvana Unplugged DVDs. lot's of questionable choices there, but the hold steady at number 20? ever? what the fuck?

Posted by burp! | November 30, 2007 5:40 PM

this list is lazy

well, it IS blender....
ahh mudhoney. the band that made everyone want to do heroin and buy a Fender Jag. I'll never forget my first show. Can't say I'd go see them now though. Saw them about 3 years ago, it kinda ruined my other experiences.

Posted by anon | November 30, 2007 11:04 PM

I have trouble believing anyone hired by blender has ever heard of flipper. I think they outsource for this kinda thing.

Posted by anon | November 30, 2007 11:06 PM

i have no problem with the hold steady being on this list. i'm glad to see that blender's chosen separation sunday over boys and girls in america.

I would rank Aeroplane over the sea a little higher. But thats just my opinion

De La Soul indie? I love De La but have never thought of them as an "indie band". Not to mention Three feet High and Rising was a mainstream hit.

Bizzare list. Hold Steady is bad enough, but Arcade Fire at #6??? Better than the other 94? Really??????

Just got back from the Mudhoney show @ Maxwell's. Last saw them a few years ago and was really disappointed - but they redeemed themselves tonight. Best show I've seen in a long time (and I go to a LOT of shows). If you can grab a ticket for tomorrow @ the Bowery, I suggest you do so...

Mudhoney is on top of their game right now- The energy is off the hook. I highly, highly recommend not one of these shows but at least 2- Unreal.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2007 2:14 PM

The fact that Mudhoney is playing these small gigs is almost a joke- they should be filling much bigger spaces because they are just so fucking good...but better a small space for the lucky few that realize what everyone else is foolishly missing out on.

If you're thinking about going to see Mudhoney at Bowery... do it.

Mudhoney show at Williamsburg was SICK- can't wait to check out the Superfuzz show tonight

Question for anyone who went to MUdhoney the past 2 nights. Do you know if they were selling the Live Mud lp at the Merch table?

Posted by Anonymous | December 2, 2007 2:53 PM

Mudhoney's show at MHOW last night was insanity!

Great to see that there are folks in Williamsburgh that could still shake their asses to good music instead of salivating over a talentless hack like Sufjan Stevens

Mudhoney show at Bowery was solid.
1 Full Album.
+
encore
4 New songs (New Album out April 08, I think.)
+another encore
1 song.

Good show. Good vibes from a band born before their current label.

I love the creativity of the group Mudhoney. Group Mudhoney formed in 1988 in Seattle following the collapse of Green River. I am interested in any information about this group, I usually find information on the site http://www.queentorrent.com and here I have downloaded all the albums Mudhoney.
