Radiohead played Mercury Lounge, to tour America in 2008?
Official Cover art?

Radiohead played Mercury Lounge (on November 4, 1994). Were you there? Future tour news below...
Radiohead to start tour in America
As the plans look like now, Radiohead will start their upcoming tour in America. When asked by Steve Lamacq Ed O’Brien confirmed that the band are indeed starting their tour in May.Ed said that it’s still ‘up in the air’ and that plans might change, but Radiohead will tour in May, June/July, kicking off for a few weeks in America. Ed: “We probably go out in May.”
When asked if Glastonbury is on the agenda, Ed said: “Everything is on the agenda. We sort of finalizing dates at the moment. We’ll see. If they want us. We don’t know yet. We’ve got schedule A, schedule B, schedule C. None of this is confirmed.” [Radiohead At Ease] (thx Chris)

I was most certainly there. This was a pre-release party for The Bends and I think it was an industry only show. While I don't recall the set list too well, it was about an hour long set. I do remember them playing Killer Cars I think, and of course High and Dry.. and Anyone Can Play Guitar. And Yes, they did Creep.

I was at that Mercury Lounge show, it wasn't that great. Too many jokes about vomit for my taste, and I guess overall just not that funny. I understand the schtick, just wasn't my cup of tea.
Oh, wait, I'm thinking of this Neil Hamburger show I saw once. Not Radiohead. My bad.

Back in '88, when Kevin Shields was my personal assistant, I had him take a break from cleaning my bathtub (which seemed like a good idea, as the Traveling Wilburys were playing an industry-only performance in it at the time), and book me a little show for the evening. He ended up getting me the original line-up from The Clash, who went on, in my kitchen, at 8:30. It was pretty cool.

i wasn't at the show, but i do remember back when "the bends" came out and no one cared about radiohead because they were a boring alternative guitar rock band.

Jesus Christ, is that blog post by Courtney Love incomprehensible! She doesn't let non-friends of hers post comments on her blog, so I'll post my comments here:
You're talking about FIC*O*, not FIC*A*.
Then there's this: "im sorry Kid A didnt change my life i wish i had gotten it better- i think youhave to be a potsmoker to get Kid A......."
Christ, is she implying that she's never done any drug worse than alcohol?
And then one of her MySpace friends was a stupid cunt and stretched the page with her comment.

2007 - a year marred by Daft Punk jokes

They also played the Merc in Sept 1995, which was also almost all industry folk. And they didn't play Creep. In fact, I believe Mr. Yorke had some choice words for someone who kept calling out for it.
That ticket was the only good thing I ever got out of working for EMI.

I thought 2007 was going to be such a good year. I was sooo pumped for this year to come, last december. And it started out pretty good too. and then they had to announce their us summer tour. dont get me wrong, the show was great, but the talk of the show turned into jokes about the show. and the jokes werent even that funny. but they continued. and as they continued, they got even less funny. basically this year (for me) has been ruined because of daft punk jokes on an nyc-based indie rock blog (in the comment section no less).
i was let down, but now im looking forward for 2008. but im more cautious this time around. i just fear my bloody valentine will ruin next year for me.
::sigh::

My older brother's psycho ex-girlfriend, Sadie, made out with Colin Greenwood in a bar in Britain after a show in the early 90s. This actually happened.

My older sister's cousin's boyfriend made dinner for a girl who made out with Colin Greenwood in a bar.
i think it was in Britain!
omg! u think it was the same ex-girlfriend? This actually happened.

Dude, chill the fuck out. I would never make out with a girl who had dinner with your older sister's cousin's boyfriend.
Now get back to the cash register.
