Tough call, but I think I'm going to have to vote for Escort to win this year's Plug "Music Video of the Year". Check out all twelve of the nominated videos below....
Escort - All Through The Night
Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
Bat For Lashes - Whats a Girl To Do
Battles - Atlas
Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton - Our Hell
José González - Down The Line
Justice - D.A.N.C.E (Version Finale)
Liars - Plaster Casts Of Everything
Maximo Park - Our Velocity (from Our Earthly Pleasures)
Menomena - Rotten Hell
St Vincent - Jesus Saves, I spend
The Shins - Phantom Limb
Who got snubbed? (remember, it has to be "indie" - hence, no Feist)

This is actually a good list, save "Phantom Limb" and that Bat for Lashes one, that's basically like Karma Police on a bicycle.
It seems kind of old now, but you gotta vote for Justice... or maybe just write-in "Umbrella"

I guess you have to have at least one animal mask, animal puppet, or animal costume to be nominated?

Battles FTW forever.

i can't believe they left out grizzly bear's Knife video, the most fucked up, unique awesome video I've seen in ages

I'm also confounded that Grizzly's video for Knife isn't being considered!

Most of those videos aren't very good. Not complaining, because truth is, with the falling profits post-P2P explosion, the video budgets have gone away completely. At least for US artists. All gloss, no concept, or boringly twee.

how are you going to complain about video budgets going away, and then talk about too much gloss?
Don't you think they'd have less gloss?
I'm all about lo-fi videos. I don't need special effects and shit filmed on navy ships to be entertained.

Jarvis Cocker - Don't Let Him Waste Your Time
It was Grand Theft Jarvis.

Agreed on the Jarvis nod. I love that video and song. Personally, I like the Bat for Lashes video. It has a Donnie Darko weird vibe about it.

I personally think Our Hell should win.
It's freaky awesome.

Architecture in Helsinki - Heart It Races
Almost as muppety as the escort video, but the song doesn't suck.
There are several good choices here, though. I def. would have put the Aesop Rock and Menomena vids on my list, and hadn't seen the Emily Haines.

'knife' or 'central and remote" by grizzy bear definitely should have made the cut!
