"St. Patty's Day? That's Pogues night!"

i saw them at msg a few weeks ago and they blew me away. was absolutely worth every penny. (but i'm not going to see them again)

I have never seen as many drunk, aggro ex-fratboys cum Wall Street Brokers flashing their saggy 30+ yr old man-boobs than at the last MSG show. Ok, I kid about the flashing part (thank the gods of metal), but you get my point....I was on the floor and literally saw 2 women total in my immediate vicinity.

Nevertheless, the band is still really awesome. Sounded a bit cavernous in MSG, but that's not surprising. And you have to be grateful the band has a huge video screen highlighting all the action cause if you're not 10 feet from the stage, you really need them at MSG to see anything.

Hey y'all,

I'm a HARDCORE VH fan from back in the day--old enough to have actually seen the original line-up on the '1984' tour. I can honestly say that this reunion tour is AWESOME and well worth checking out. It's the only show I've seen this year that's challenged my top gig of 07, Daft Punk. I caught VH in Los Angeles at the Staples Center last week and it melted my brain--in the best way possible. Eddie VH is STILL the best guitar player of his generation by a country mile. And Wolfgang may still wearing his baby fat, but the kid can play the bass and has a great voice for backing vocals (much like his dad).

And no, I'm not some grizzled classic rocker--my fave bands of the moment include TVOTR, Of Montreal, Deerhunter and M.I.A.

But it's the almight VH that ruled my year!!!!

Go!!!!!!!!

thanks for letting us know how hip you still are "DJ NAME" but for your information chubby only sounds so good live 'cause they're using pre-recorded backing vocals on every song.

p.s. - a what time did daft punk go on?

DJ NAME wasn't telling us how hip he is, HIPSTER LOSEUR... he was just describing his general taste to let us know how to treat his recommendation.

yeah why does there have to be a trash session on every post here?

'yeah why does there have to be a trash session on every post here?'

Because the internet is full of sad, passive drones that tunnel their energies away from positive and productive artistic endeavors and into their miserable typing fingers fueled with caffeine and hate? Just a theory.
