As the plans look like now, Radiohead will start their upcoming tour in America. When asked by Steve Lamacq Ed O’Brien confirmed that the band are indeed starting their tour in May.

Ed said that it’s still ‘up in the air’ and that plans might change, but Radiohead will tour in May, June/July, kicking off for a few weeks in America. Ed: “We probably go out in May.”

When asked if Glastonbury is on the agenda, Ed said: “Everything is on the agenda. We sort of finalizing dates at the moment. We’ll see. If they want us. We don’t know yet. We’ve got schedule A, schedule B, schedule C. None of this is confirmed.”

ummmmm let's start guessing venues that they might play around here.....
1) don't think it would be outdoors since it will be in may but i might be wrong with all these climate changes....

2) hopefully they will play apollo theater/beacon theater/town hall for 7 nights straight lol

3) hopefully no radio city/msg/roseland

4) wishful thinking....irving plaza

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS SUE SHOWTIME
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071120/ap_on_en_mu/people_red_hot_chili_peppers

LOS ANGELES - The Red Hot Chili Peppers on Monday sued Showtime Networks over the name of the television series "Californication," which is also the name of the band's 1999 album and a single on it.

The lawsuit alleges unfair competition, dilution of the value of the name and unjust enrichment, claiming the title is "inherently distinctive, famous ... and immediately associated in the mind of the consumer" with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"Californication is the signature CD, video and song of the band's career, and for some TV show to come along and steal our identity is not right," said the band's lead singer, Anthony Kiedis, in a statement. [SNIP]

Posted by tremags | November 20, 2007 10:14 AM

When will you idiots grow out of this bullshit music scene?? Its not cool to like uncool bands. It is cool to be famous for your music talent (Keyword: Talent). 99% of the bands here suck balls. Just stop faking it you dirty hipsters. Leave Brooklyn, Leave New York, and if you arent from here, dont ever be from here. Stay where you are.

bright eyes was terrible? certainly not as hot as the bowery or town hall shows from earlier in the year, but still pretty good. the very end of the set and the encore seemed to drag on a bit, but otherwise i thought the performance was strong. Poison Oak was the highlight for me. the sound could have been better, but perhaps i was too close (CC).

Posted by km | November 20, 2007 10:39 AM

Oh and the Felice Bros were excellent. Not so much for Thurston Moore though.

Posted by KM | November 20, 2007 10:41 AM

RHCP will lose that suit. You can't trademark song titles.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2007 10:42 AM

tegan and sara were good, crowd was awful. thanks a lot, grey's anatomy.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2007 10:47 AM

i thought the sound at bright eyes was just terrible. sounded like shit.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2007 10:49 AM

Is Hannah Montana a porn star? She has the name for it.

Posted by naj | November 20, 2007 12:02 PM

i concur. tegan and sara sounded great. went to southpaw this summer to see them as well. but the crowd was questionable. when i walked in, i thought, "oh this is nice. it's way more diverse than my usual "ladiez" shows." hah, however, it was just strange...some guys twice my size shoved me with their girlfriends as they made out during northern state. strange.

aside from that, it didn't take away from the show being amazing. it was i guess just humorous to see people walking in and saying "wow, there are a lot of lesbians here!" sheesh buddy, what did you expect ; )

Posted by m | November 20, 2007 12:33 PM

don't get me started on northern state. that shit is RIDICULOUS.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2007 3:19 PM

Swell Season was really beautiful...amazing voices, amazing talent. It was a spectacular show.

Posted by anon | November 20, 2007 3:34 PM

Tegan and Sara setlist/review/pics if anyone's still interested. Gotta check those pictures of their funny haircuts.
