White Williams - 2007 Tour Dates (Dirty Projectors show)
DOWNLOAD: White Williams - New Violence (MP3)
White Williams @ Bowery Ballroom, NYC - Oct 17, 2007 (CRED)

White Williams has been added as opener for the Dirty Projectors show at Bowery Ballroom. After seeing White Williams twice during CMJ (one of them being at the show pictured above), I thought, "he's good - kind of mellow, but I don't really need to see him again. Having the album, and having seen him at least once is good enough for now. " That said, I'll still show up early enough to catch him anytime he opens a show that I'm going to anyway. His (their) most recent NYC show was opening for Battles at Webster Hall (which I didn't go to). All tour dates below...

couldn't they have booked somebody more interesting for the dirty projectors show? the projectors are amazing and deserve a better opener. this is disappointing. i saw white williams open for battles and was very very underwhelmed. i'm definitely not showing up early to hear this one.

We throw a lot of weight around in the indie rock business. You will see our bands often and you will buy their records because we think for you.

calling white williams boring is so obvious. A friend of mine suggested the sound to be kind of glam, and i could see that...yet still not mind blowing.

i also saw white williams open for battles in toronto. it was a great set, i admit he should not try to dance cause it makes him look like he finds his own music to be a snooze, but i really really like his stuff. why is everyone ragging on him?

I understand the reaction to White Williams' pre-Battles show... it's definitely not very exciting, doesn't inspire much of a visceral reaction. His record, though, I think is very good and very interesting sonically. I recommend it. I unfortunately can't make it to a show on this tour.
