Dirty Projectors playing New Years Eve, win tix

What sucks about this is that I already have plans. Dirty Projectors (and many others) are playing the 'After The Jump' New Years Eve party at Knitting Factory in NYC. One pair of free tickets goes to someone who....
....emails BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM (subject: DP), and includes their first and last name and what their favorite live show of 2007 was (and why). Your answer might be published - even if you don't win. One winner will be picked at random and contacted.

Wait, I thought from reading all the other Dirty Projectors comments on here that they were the greatest band ever and are huge right now and selling out every place. Why then are they only able to play a small place like Knitting Factory for New Years?

Damn...already booked to go see Mr. Brownstone in Brooklyn. I don't know about your thoughts but the fun factor at a Mr. Brownstone show is off the charts compared to the DP's. Not a diss but oh so true nonetheless.

underplay perhaps?

So a band is big enough to sell out the Bowery Ballroom, then you get the chance to see them at a smaller venue and you're complaining?

the guy from grizzly bear being drunk at their show?
them being geniuses or not?

nobody has any plans whatsoever on this night so they need to play the biggest possible venue that they can get away with by only selling 2 tickets to their mothers

Good photo.

I am pretty sure the guy was not complaining. Sarcastic is more like it. Also, they did not sell out Bowery Ballroom not that that is a big giant thing to do anyway. New Bands with 1 single out sell out Bowery. I think the fact that they could not sell that place out is why they are playing a smaller place on New Years.
