NY Mag Office Holiday party (WAS & UCB), NYC - pics
This top picture wasn't actually taken at the NY Magazine party, but I liked it because it clearly depicts the fact that We are Scientists have ANOTHER new member, AND that they played in London without their shirts on...

i did go, and it was so-so.
riggle is funny for 5 minutes, which makes him perfect for the daily show, but not there. and the rest just felt like a jumbled-up version of 'the office'. moments of funny (and pretty damn funny at that), but not a solid overall performance.
WAS played alright. it seemed like the office party skits didn't really have the crowd in the right frame of mind for them. WAS fans would love it no matter what, but they probably didn't win over a lot of new fans. they REALLY need to work on their banter. or play the catskills more...

I was there with three poor friends of mine, none of whom could really afford the $30 ticket price. It was so bad, we left before Riggle or the Scientists took the stage.
People-- if you're going to have a running joke for two hours, and no one laughs for the first forty minutes, it's time to scrap the joke!

The only drawback to the show was the mere 3 bartenders, which made getting a drink pretty rough. WAS played some really good sounding new songs, and the comedy skit was decent (who doesn't think Paul Scheer is funny?--just look at the guy for god's sake!)
