"Gravity" and "Safety Zone" are both written and performed by Lou Reed and were inspired by Nanking the film which opened in selected theaters on December 12th, 2007.Lou Reed has also been busy working with the Killers, and will be speaking at SXSW this year. Nanking is playing at Film Forum in NYC.

That poster somehow reminds me of the new Pinback record cover. Of course, on my iPod the Pinback record cover is 1/4 inch square.

My Japanese girlfriend has never heard of Nanking. She was shocked when I showed her some photos. The Japanese have wiped Nanking from the history books.
