what was justice like at the fader party?

Justice were really good.
I had a great time even though half the people I came with were not on the list and had to split after waiting an hour.
I guess the fun part probably also had something to do with the booze. I think the fader threw away enough bud select aluminum to make a small airplane.

Also,
The Crowd (or vocal parts of it) were hating on White Williams (technical difficulties - hey, at least it wasn't that awful band Pela. Holy hell they are shite).
The party felt like a weird potentially caustic mix of hip hop and hipsters from wealthier than normal backgrounds (i.e. can afford expensive fanny packs and shit made by graffiti artists). Note to future bands at Fader parties in NYC, making shout outs to see if there are other people from Ohio in the audience will apparently mark you as Lamer than lame. Who gives a shit about Ohio? Really? Not people in NYC at a Fader party. Save that shit for your next Weakerthans show.
WW were hating back accusing the crowd (likely correctly in some cases) of growing up on the upper east side and getting a job because their parents knew somebody. They also drunkenly said something about the heckling concert goers moms planning their bar mitzvah or whatever. It didn't seem to make sense, and i'm sure the anti-defamation league wouldn't be happy if they knew. They seemed wasted though. Not that that's an excuse.
None the less at least a few people were in to it. I thought the last few songs were really good. In a different setting and with less computers it could have worked. I say lose the light show until you can make it work.
