I was just listening to APTBS's album. It's growing on me. Good stuff.

My first time seeing both APTBS and Muggabears...pretty damn good!

Strangers rocked as usual.

Never seen the Muggabears before - they were excellent! I'll be catching them again, fo' sho!

definitely a fun band to go see live... really *loved* the fact that the visuals guy was actually rocking two old 8mm film projectors and TONS of film loops. funfun stuff.

here are my photos from their bowery show last month if you'd like to see:

did the show end up filling up/selling out death by audio? i considered going but didn't want to be turned away at the door.

no turnaways, but it was definitely crowded and kinda hard to see. that room is awesome though.

It was a great show last night. Those guys laid down a good one on tape. Can't wait for the vinyl. Oh yeah, the dj played a lil' Spacemen 3... that was a nice touch. Don't hear enough of that at shows/parties.

Their show at the same place back in July was even more tripped out. No films, just lots of strobes and a room full of smoke. Could barely see the band, save for a few dark silhouettes flashing against the grey air. After their set that night, the dj in the back room played Styx's "Too Much Time". HA!!!

i saw a place to bury strangers at death by audio last summer. lots of technical problems at that place (sound went out on both the offering and ceremony, two rocking virginia bands) and the space manager was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. which was awesome! reminds me of old brooklyn warehouse punk shows from the 80s and 90s. i just dated myself there....
