I understand that it's FREE, but how do you gain entry? Do you bring a copy of your myspace page printed out? Do you print out some proof of knowing the show or do you just merely show up?

aesop rock is bad. him and his hipster fans should be at north six or some other hipster club in that neighborhood.

I am beyond disappointed. I arrived at the Aesop show at 7:00...only to sit in line in the FREEZING cold for 3 hours. Doors had been stated to open at 8:00pm...3/4 of the line was still sitting outside when Aesop went on stage. By the time that I got into the venue( at 10:30 pm after multiple body searches), the staff rudely informed me that I HAD to check my coat. The coat check too had a long line and was charging money for the forced service!

I left....there was no way that I would even have seen more than a few songs at that point. I am not sure if the fault is in the venue, myspace, or both...but I will NEVER go to another secret show again...and much of the people in the line felt the same way.

Fuck myspace!

MySpace? What is this, 2002?

Posted by Anonymous | January 22, 2008 11:08 PM

what do you mean do people still use myspace? you act like youre above it or something and you just dont know if people use it or not. and anyone who disses on this shit doesnt feel real hip hop so go back to bragging about how you feed off of tofu. and i was there at 6:00, no backpack like a million other idiots, no coat, and i got in just in time to catch the whole set. the staff was rude though.

I saw AR once play a CMJ show. Boring.

And wasting 3 hours of your life to see a performer that usually charges $15 a ticket is bad planning. Much easier to buy a ticket for a normal show.
