April March OPENS for Au Revoir Simone????, Shouldn't be the other way around???????

Probably there is not a more boring show in this town than an Au Revoir Simone show...Well maybe The Dragons of Zynth.....

I guess it's all about who has the bigger boobs.

That's the only way.

Let me give you a clue. They used to bake and sell cookies before each show. They only play keyboards. The name of the band is "Au Revoir Simone". Does anything else really need to be said?

Posted by Anonymous | January 18, 2008 3:34 PM

What a waste of cool keyboards.

you guys just tryin to tear down their self esteem tonight so they'll be easeir to take home?

good idea.

Some of their music is quite good. And the live show is fun.. you anonymous commenters have a shitty definition of "boring"..

Last time I saw them they raised their hands and clapped a lot.

and hadn't shaved their pits and cuz they're so pale their skin their looked yellow.

It was gross.

I was there last night, all the bands were horrible, including april march sadly.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2008 8:54 AM

Bell was great last night, and her band was pretty incredible. ARS was sometimes mesmerizing, sometimes... not so much. But they have a cool look onstage, with the overhead spotlighting, it's like the three space criminals from Superman 2.

Anyone going in LA... the opener, Karin Tatoyan is amazing.

This is a really depressing comments thread, but I suppose it is helpful to occasionally shine a light on just how many misogynistic indie boys are out there.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2008 7:53 PM

What misogyny? Crap music is crap music.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2008 10:09 PM

exactly. the only defender accused the thread as misognistic, but doesn't say "their music is great". Because is not and got nothing to do with what gender are they.
girls boys or drag queens, Au revoir simene is poor..
