El Perro Del Mar - "From The Valley To The Stars"

Speaking of icy (kidding!) Swedish singer-songwriters, El Perro Del Mar is coming out with a new album....
Sweden-based El Perro Del Mar is set to release From The Valley To The Stars (The Control Group) on April 22, 2008. The album is a follow-up album to her self-titled US debut which won raves from fans and critics alike.El Perro Del Mar - known informally as Sarah Assbring- recorded From The Valley To The Stars for most of 2007. The album is a 16-track opus, chock-full of non-traditional folk songs that explore the world at large. It's a gorgeous album, full of hope and longing.
El Perro del Mar / Sarah Assbing on 'From the Valley to the Stars'
"I wanted to make something as unfashionable as an album in the classic sense of the word - in terms of its composition and the idea of a theme. The theme itself was initially something as simple yet complex as heaven and it led me into a wide and seemingly endless search for a means, a language in which to express myself. Although during this time I was, even though I mostly didn't realize it, following a certain train of thought - that of love, grief and loss, solace and hope, deepest despair and wildest childish euphoria - to the lowest and the highest of heights."

Wow . . . terrible song from a miserable looking person. Quite a combination.

wow you guys are dicks. It's alright though. Nobody values the opinion of anyone who posts on here. Including mine. So, thats it i guess. But, not to discredit the site it self, it's a great source of information.

Fine, Anon. 6:59 PM, my comment was simplistic. I'll elaborate my opinion of the song: The music is nearly monotonous and the lyrics are overly repetitive. Is that better?
