the scalpers are pissed

demand for the joanna newsom show is so high that i doubt adding another show will make much a dent in scalper market.

Joanna Newsom is worse than Hitler.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2008 8:42 PM

Hitler's first single was kind of cool... didn't like much after that...

she dumped smog ages ago

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2008 10:32 PM

hey Tom, nice spam for your entrepreneurial music venture run by AOL executives. maybe people like newsom would be interested if it didn't feature shitty pop punk bands and mainstream wannabes 99% of the time. GTFOBV, thx.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2008 11:12 PM

i'd hit that

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2008 11:15 PM

If Joanna Newsom is really going out with Andy Samberg I will be so bummed. When I eventually win her as my bride I do not want to be thinking about "Dick in a Box" during the consummation.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2008 11:51 PM

she really is

you can't make up such a random couple
it's real

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 9:16 AM

Posted by annoyed | January 16, 2008 9:26 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 9:35 AM

So - did anybody else seem to get a ticket to The National show for free - only paying the handling fee?

Posted by Zach | January 16, 2008 10:15 AM

This music is abominable.

Posted by the emperor has no clothes | January 16, 2008 10:23 AM

yeah, i got free tickets too. what's with that? only thing is i put in the wrong zip code for shipping. i'm afraid if i write to them they'll call me out and charge me full price.

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 10:24 AM

I got free national tickets too! thought maybe it was just a fluke that i was getting them and bam wouldn't notice. bummer...

I hope they just charge me instead of cancelling the order. that would suck!

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 10:28 AM

i called. there was a glitch and none of the "free" orders went thru. bummer

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 11:05 AM

11:05 - you fucking ruined free concert day for everybody. Dag!

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 11:18 AM

I picked up a pair (which I paid for). Front row, first mezz.

Thanks for the tip BV.

Posted by Dan | January 16, 2008 11:18 AM

what about the "all sales final" rule? they can just take them back because they screwed up? i would have bought my tix anyway. granted it was the only free pair i pulled, but it was also the best pair - 9th row.

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 11:19 AM

Usually when something looks to good to be true... it is.

Posted by rocked the shit | January 16, 2008 12:28 PM

dude i got 6 free tickets and i am going to sell 4 on craigslist. what a great day

Posted by Anonymous | January 16, 2008 12:35 PM

I've heard from BAM - they are going to honor everyone's seat assignments but their customer service people will be in contact about charging the correct price for tickets - it was an unfortunate programming glitch. But don't worry - you'll get to keep the seats.

There are some top price tickets for both of the Newsom gigs available from the BAM website, I just got one for Thursday.

Just realized I never received my BAM/National tickets in the mail. (I checked my email sale confirmation and it definitely said "mail" not "hold at will call".) Did anyone else receive their tickets? This is for Saturday's show, which had the original pricing glitch.
