HAHAHAH the myspace tour
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:49 PM
HA is right!
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:50 PM
There's no way they could headline MSG, right?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:52 PM
wtf??
to add insult to injury, tickets are over seventy bucks for a single floor ticket.
is led zeppelin opening? that's the only way i could see this show happening.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:52 PM
who wants to bet this show gets moved to the bowery ballroom?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:53 PM
You've got to be kidding. Just went to ticketmaster. Could have got GA tickets. No thanks. Maybe in 20 years if they are still around I would go.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:54 PM
i'm guessing daft punk will go on after them.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 12:56 PM
and you guys bitched about terminal 5
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:02 PM
i actually have no idea who they were until recently when i started to see their name pretty often. have they been around for awhile? curious because i don't see how they could fill more than 1/3 of the garden.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:02 PM
This is hilarious and frightning all at the same time. This shit is actually really getting out of hand.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:08 PM
That is a fuckin joke. From the Ticket price...to the fact that Justice thinks they can play MSG!!!
Daft Punk only got to that level Recently and I bet they would have a hard time selling out MSG completely. And they are 100000x better on record and live than Justice.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:10 PM
this combined with their e-mail/press release thing where they let critics know how to 'spell' their album title for top album/year end lists, i would say they think pretty darn highly of themselves. even hammerstein would be a stretch. insanity.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:13 PM
sold out
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:15 PM
if justice really has 20 thousand people who want to see them in ny why wouldn't they just play 5 nights at terminal 5. i'm sure tons of people would go to see them in a really large club who wouldn't go to see them at msg. it just seems like dumb business sense. who is gonna sit in an upper deck to see DJs.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:16 PM
2 GA tickets=$143.05..... bullshit. i could take some drugs and turn their albums up real loud and probably get the same experience.
Posted by diggins | January 4, 2008 1:17 PM
this is just not right! I like Justice but they have ONE fucking album. And on top of all that the ticket prices are fucking insanely expensive.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:31 PM
That is bullshit. It took Radiohead until 2001 to play MSG. There better be some big supporting acts.
Posted by The Calculator | January 4, 2008 1:32 PM
you get a complementary order of freedom fries with each ticket purchase.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:32 PM
justice with css supporting
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:34 PM
i would think it has more to do with myspace booking the show at the garden than it does justice just deciding to play there
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:35 PM

I think if enough of us get together and voice our opinions and dissatisfaction on this blog that someone will have to listen and make them agree to do a smaller show!
Posted by the perfect specimen | January 4, 2008 1:44 PM
please nobody buy tickets for this. It's the only way this shit will stop. You will be OK if you miss this show. I promise.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:48 PM
"i would think it has more to do with myspace booking the show at the garden than it does justice just deciding to play there"
wrong. Justice wanted this.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:51 PM
Ugh.....I just bought a ticket......can't help myself.....ugh....there I go again!......just bought another one.
Maybe if I buy them all then no one else will show up. They will play just for me.
Posted by idea man | January 4, 2008 1:53 PM
Yes! We demand they only play where we want! How dare they not support those of us who have downloaded their album for free!
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:53 PM
When I read the headline I thought that Justice enjoyed playing Metal Gear Solid. Alas, we'll never know.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 1:59 PM
What time does Daft Punk come and replace Justice for this show at MSG?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:02 PM
I thought "...Playing MSG" was code for playing at some small chinese restaurant like Man Man did.
Posted by idea man | January 4, 2008 2:04 PM
even i think this is retarded.
Posted by david. | January 4, 2008 2:14 PM
No Bullshit, but I know a guy named Ed Banger.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:15 PM
do the bowery presents have anything to do with this show? if so, then the circle is complete, and they've proven themselves to be no better than their competition.
70 bucks to see a dj electronic act, with no real visual presentation is just absurd.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:27 PM
even i think this is retarded and i'm actually retarded.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:30 PM
I was going to name my first daughter Justice based on Janet Jackson's character in the 1993 John Singleton movie also starring Tupac Shakur, but I don't want people to think that I'm naming her after this overrated band.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:35 PM
yes, this is a bowery presents show. and agreed, they are getting a little big for their britches.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:41 PM
Are there any other dates for this tour yet?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:42 PM
Could somebody please explain to me why everyone is ready to burn Justice on the cross for this?
If you think it's ridiculous for them to play MSG, don't go. They'll say "wow, that was a huge mistake" and not try it again.
So they want to make some money and play a huge venue. does every band have to toil broke and in obscurity forever to be considered legit?
1:48, what exactly is "this shit" that has to stop?
Posted by TD | January 4, 2008 2:45 PM
Good thing the Bowery Presents is the small independent good-guy company and Live Nation the evil corporate behemoth, right? Oh, wait...
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:46 PM
Bowery Presents cracks me up... Why do all these "indie bands" and "indie fans" put up with the massive list of bullshit these people pull?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:49 PM
its so bad that Justice thinks they can step into Daft Punk territory...they cant!
it was a stretch for Interpol to fill MSG...and they have 3 albums and are from NYC. Unless this has several major artists its gonna be retarded. Who wants to sit in a chair in MSG and listen to 2 guys DJ? their light show and mix is crap compared to Daft Punk.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:52 PM
People are sheep.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 2:53 PM
moooo
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:01 PM
Why don't they play Bowery so we can all be happy?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:13 PM
I saw them at Terminal 5, had a great time. But MSG? No way. Not worth the money. I mean, come on.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:20 PM
waittttt is CSS really supporting? if not, who is?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:22 PM
If they're playing on the Myspace tour, it probably means that they're playing with multiple (probably as of yet unconfirmed) bands that are popular with the 14-21 year-old set. Maybe Myspace is planning to pair them with another popular band? I seriously doubt they're playing by themselves the entire time.
That said, as much as I love Justice, I don't $70 a ticket love Justice.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:24 PM
Interpol didn't come close to selling out the Garden.

css will attract 20 people
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:46 PM
Ugh. Please, Justice...MSG is massive...TOO MASSIVE. They gladly packed Terminal 5....but please, if you want to progressively fill venues, go to Hammerstein, because MSG a mecca compared to Terminal 5.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 3:54 PM

Does anyone think that high ticket price is because the promoters know that they're only going to sell half the tickets? Justice is great, but that's too high. I think they're better suited for the Bowery. I'm not hatin' on anyone that plans on going and CSS would be cool to see, but I wouldn't want to be paying double so the promoters can take their full amount.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 5:28 PM
I don't believe Bowery Presents is promoting this show
it's not on their website & there's no mention of them being involved anywhere.
You'll have to find another thread where you can hate on them..
Posted by Joe | January 4, 2008 5:45 PM
It costs a small fortune to put on a concert at MSG, I doubt the band are making THAT much.

It says on the bottom of the MSG page that CSS are, so I don't know what you're talking about, man.

Actually on the ticketmaster page it says Bowery Presents. Right sidebar, at the bottom.
Posted by Anonymoose | January 4, 2008 5:56 PM
I can't find anything about CSS anywhere. Not on Justice's myspace page (other than the show they're playing together in Euroe), not on the Bowery page, not on Ticketmaster, not on the MSG page.
THIS IS HOW RUMORS GET STARTED!
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 6:17 PM
they sold 40k albums in the us. all they need to sell out is msg, is for one out of every two people who bought the album, to buy a ticket to the show...perfectly doable.
(let's face it, the only people who are going to pay seventy bucks for a ticket, are the people who bought the album)
and with chromeo, and the usual ed bangers crew opening, selling 20k tickets should be a breeze. when tickets sell out in two minutes, and scalpers start selling floor tickets for two hundred each, you all are going to feel mighty stupid.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 7:56 PM
"they sold 40k albums in the us. all they need to sell out is msg, is for one out of every two people who bought the album, to buy a ticket to the show...perfectly doable."
Are you saying that everyone in the US is going to consider going to this show that is in NYC, and that everyone who bought the CD is stupid enough to drop $60 on a mostly-seated dance show?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2008 9:02 PM
seriously wtf are they thinking. i agree that they are getting ahead and full of themselves by first sending out emails telling people how to write the album name for year end lists and now attempting to play madison square garden? please. maybe once they show they are better than daft punk(which probably wont happen) then they can try. they only have one record(which is still one of my favorites from 2007)

this is a joke. they're playing the usual, large capacity clubs everywhere else in the country, where they'll likely charging less that thirty for a ticket.
it makes you wonder who was actually pushing the move to msg, and the high ticket price. the bowery presents really needs to start doing some more market research if they want to move acts to arenas. were craigslist prices for the terminal 5 shows above sixty?
msg would of been viable if it was a one-off show, but since justice is already playing medium sized venues (less than 3000) in every major east coast city, it's doubtful that they'll be drawing too many people from outside the ny area.
i really want to know who's supposed to be buying tickets to this show. has/will anyone on this board?
Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2008 5:59 PM
See you in Vancouver...at the 900 person capacity venue....MSG is a stretch, but regardless, should be cool. And its not Justice who book the venues, its concert promoters and record labels, it has nothing to do with Xavier or Gaspard wanting to play the biggest venue they could think of.
Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2008 6:03 PM
The bowery also did barry manilow, meat loaf and australian pink floyd. Why is everyone of the impression they are somehow the promoter of only INDIE people....they are promoters and so what!

I Seen Justice At Terminal 5..Amazing btw.. Only Thing Thats Attractin Me To This Is One Is Chromeo
Posted by Anonymous | January 26, 2008 6:16 PM
So I grabbed my tickets from StubHub for this one and now that the venue has changed I'm screwed. The original buyer will be able to get the new tickets the night of the show (and prob sell them again) and I am shit out of luck. A friend just fwd'd me an email from Ticketmaster saying that the MSG tickets will not be honored as the venue is now the WAMU Theater. Any ideas? please help!
Posted by Tully | March 6, 2008 4:31 PM
FYI. I went to the show at the WAMU Theatre at MSG last night. Although it was a great show, they did not eve sell out that venue. Tiny in comparison to MSG. It's funny, I saw a Justice YouTube video a few weeks ago, and the fan excited fan that posted added a description that said "These are the DJs that sold out Madison Square Garden" - not quite homey! But a great show. Chromeo was fantastic as well and even seized the MSG opportunity to crank out an arena-worthy Journey tune.
