« The Felice Brothers - 2008 Tour Dates (Bowery Ballroom) | Joanna Angel was on the Learning Channel »

Bao stopped by the Virgin Megatstore to check out (and photograph) Kate Nash. He said she only played for 15 minutes though - not quite worth the trip to Union Square, but at least there was no cover charge.
The 20-year-old British singer was recently featured in the NY Daily News, the Village Voice and the NY Times. More of Bao's pictures below....

It was utterly unspired by what I heard... A flat Regina Spector.

Yes, she only performed briefly, but there was no over-crowding, booze hounds, weed smoke or any of the other obnoxious trappings usually found at paid-for concerts. It was free and fun. Kate Nash is a very talented little singer innit? I say 'little' to indicate her cuteness... she seems to enjoy what she does. -- Did anyone else take notice of how she ended each song -- by falling into a mad crescendo, which I figured was an excuse for her to hop up and down on her stool...?
