Les Savy Fav played a super late show on New Years Eve (technically New Years Day) at Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Patti Smith played there earlier in the night. Above photos via HERE.

I'd never heard of them before the show- WIthout doubt one, if not the best, live show I've ever seen (That would top both Pearl Jam opening for The Stones and a complete cover of the entire Last Waltz by underground Irish musicians in a pub in Ireland with not just everyone on stage, but everyone in the room with their arms around each other singing "I see my light come shining...") Best cover I've ever heard of Credence's Hey Tonight (If anyone in the band reads this, please release your version) awesome finisher with Thunderstruck (Oi!) and that last insanely beautiful singalong was The Rock n roll soldiers "Everybody's gotta live" Damn that was a beautiful start to the new year. GO SEE LES SAVY FAV!!!
